| Description | AIMES is the Earth System synthesis and integration project of the International Geosphere-Biosphere Programme (IGBP). It builds on the foundation of the Global Analysis, Integration and Modeling (GAIM) task force. The challenge for AIMES is to achieve a deeper and more quantitative understanding of the role of human perturbations to the Earth’s biogeochemical cycles and their interactions with the coupled physical climate system. | |
