Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research (IMBER) Project

SCOR and IGBP initiated planning for the Integrated Marine Biogeochemistry and Ecosystem Research (IMBER) project by forming a Transition Team to plan the OCEANS Open Science Meeting, held in January 2003, to gather community input for the new project. The Transition Team wrote a Science Plan and Implementation Strategy and a Scientific Steering Committee for IMBER was formed in early 2004, and responded to reviewers' comments.  The plan was published in 2005.
